Anybody know if Georgetown has waitlist ranking?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if Georgetown has ranking on their waitlist. Last time I checked, I was told that students were put in alphabetical order....that doesn't really makes sense does it????

I don't know if they rank the waitlist or not, but what I remember from the interview day is that they were admamant about writing a formal letter of intent if you were sure that you wanted to go there. I believe that the admissions officer said that the applicants who send in such a letter are essentially the group of applicants that they choose from. She also mentioned that there were directions regarding this process in the admissions booklet that they distributed that day.

I'll second that... it's imperative to make your devotion to Gtown known if you want off of the waitlist. No clue if they rank within those who have written LOIs, but I remember something about the quality of your letter having some impact.
