Anybody successful in getting feedback?

I am very interested in getting feedback on the schools that I didn't get into, and I'm wondering if anybody has successfully gotten feedback by submitting a polite request to the admissions office, and if so, what was your method of inquiry?

I did ask a few schools, and some were polite. For example, Indiana actually offered and sat down with me to discuss my application. I had a great conversation with the admissions office. Very nice people. My method of inquiry was email and then followed up via phone.
