and did NOT have to retake the class before matriculation?
DrKitty said:Thanks so much for all of your responses. I am a non-trad and have a C- in Org Chem I from the year of 1999. Though accepted, I just became paranoid of whether I will have to retake the course before I can matriculate.

Dimoak said:You might want to call the school and double-check, as many schools require atleast a C and consider a C- to be below that and hence may require it be retaken. You may be able to negotiate something else with the school though, so you may want to contact them ASAP and find out for sure. Hope it works out for you!

anybody else see a pattern here?
tiger_lily said:I retook biochem at my original undergrad school, but after I had graduated. I completed my degree, then went overseas for a semester, then came back for a semester and took a few courses to boost my GPA (I'll admit it!). I had deferred matriculating until then so I could take those courses, even though I was completed my degree. So I graduated that spring, then did the year-long required upper-level biochemistry course the following year at the same school (in a non-degree program, just so I could complete the course) and worked full-time. That was this past year year, and I'm starting med school this fall.
