I don't expect anyone to post their secrets on here, but what's the deal with "official" practice tests and -- for those who focused a lot on uworld, please feel free to lend any pearls of wisdom (but please keep any keratin pearls to yourself ::snort:🙂.

Google "Taus Method". It might be a little outdated, but I tweaked it to fit my own schedule.

5 days of studying per week. One day for catch up/review. One day off. Sources: micro and pharm flash cards (were given 80 bugs and drugs to focus on), BRS phys and pathophys, first aid, U world.

Block of UWorld with review (2 hrs)
4 bugs and 4 drugs per day (1 hr)
5+ hrs on organ system study. Each organ system had 1.5-2 days of studying.

Did well enough.

Hey all, during the LAST week before the test, would people suggest doing UWorld tests or NBME? Some people were saying since the NBME were closer to the real thing and UW can make you overthink sometimes it's better to go with NBME. Can anyone comment on this?

You shouldn't be doing any practice tests during the last week. All you should be doing is reviewing your notes/FA.
However, if you want to do a practice test then NBME is better UW.

Just wanted to say that @Phloston would probably not agree to the whole "don't do practice exams in the last week." I know he harps on doing at least several NBMEs in the last week or two...
