On page 243 of the 2005 First Aid, it states in the margin that "ddI can cause fatal pancreatitis!".

Anyone out there know what "ddI" is? Thanks in advance!

Correct. Note that Valproic Acid can cause pancreatitis as well.

Yup.
ddI and ddA are nucleoside inhibitors of the HIV's reverse transcriptase enzyme (NRTI) also cause peripheral neuropathy
