I start my training today with Kaplan to become an instructor and wanted to solicit advice from those who have already become certified Kaplan instructors.

* What kind of course load (if any) did you have when taking the course?
* Did you feel prepared at the end of the training to take on a class?
* What is the PCAT prep course schedule like (duration, # of times per week, hours per session)?
* What is the most challenging aspect of being a Kaplan instructor?

I posted this in the Pre-Pharmacy forum because I didn't think those teaching the PCAT would frequent the PCAT Discussion forum. (Sorry in advance moderators if I’m mistaken)

You have to score in the 90%ile on any test Kaplan teaches (95%ile perfered). Prepare a 5 minute presentation of the topic of your choice and be evaluated by Kaplan teachers and other presenters, and bring your resume. While training you get $7 per hour for preping and class time and $15-20 per hour once you become an instructor.
