Is Physiology difficult? I'm thinking about majoring in it and I want some insight from my sdn friends.

Yes. It was certainly a challenging major but it is my interest (hence medicine 😉) so I wouldn't have it any other way. In all honesty you take 90% of the same courses as other natural science majors. The courses that seemed to be unique to physio (as opposed to general bio, etc) were: p-chem, calc II, 2-course physiology sequence for physio majors (as opposed to a 1 course survey), 2-course biochem sequence for biochem majors (as opposed to a 1 course survey), and a handful of literature review courses. Many of these were among my most challenging courses.

I heard that it is a pretty easy major. What's your GPA?

You should probably ask people you know within the physiology major at your school. These majors can vary a lot in difficulty depending on your school. Either way, if it's something you really enjoy, then go for it. If you like the classes, you won't feel their difficulty as much (hopefully). On the other hand, if ease of major is important for you, go be a gov major and just take the basic sciences as electives.

Thats a good point. Why the hell dont people major in the easiest thing, pop an easy 4.0, and get chicks in college? Thats better than doing something u like and spending all ur time in the library.Am i wrong?

Depends on what your priorities are in life. I'm not sure that there's an objectively right answer, so whatever floats your boat. 👍

Ontology, if I could do it all over again, that's exactly what I would do.

It's only logical. You have a 4.0, less work, more chicks. Great chance at med school and an awesome college life. What gets better than that?

I majored in physio. At my school, physio is one of the harder majors (as opposed to anatomy, biochem, cell bio, bio, etc) but I truly enjoyed it.

It does make for some potentially awkward interview moments:

Interview: "so you pretty much already took all of the classes in our preclinical curriculum..."

Me: yeah... But there's still a lot I need to learn, especially since our physiology was fairly research intensive

I: I don't think so, I think it's a waste of time for you anyways

Me: uh... I enjoy it?

So what happens when your a girl? Does picking the easiest major for an easy 4.0 will give the time to attract all the hot chicks too? Or am I just screwed with the "hard" majors? /:

Learn from past, Live for future.

I want to major in Physiology but my school doesn't offer it.
