Is there anyone that got accepted into MSUCOM and is definately planning on going there? What do you find are the advantages/disadvantages of MSUCOM?

I was accepted to MSUCOM and LECOM -Bradenton. I go to MSU undergrad and have had a great four years there. I have talked to many people who go to MSUCOM and all of them told me to go there over Bradenton, althought I loved that school a lot. I work for a doctor who thinks extremely highly of MSUCOM and his daughter goes there. I heard this year they are started school in July (I think its July) sometime in mid summer to do an intensive 10 week anatomy course, Which the students I talk to say thats the best way to do it. Also, md and do students take many classes together freshman year and I have heard many md students say they wish they would have went DO. I talked to a girl who said it is the friendliest school, great teachers, online notes, video recorded lectures and very accomodating. Also, I read a lot of medical journals and MSUCOM is all over those journals. That was the reason I chose MSUCOM, you can't open a DO journal without reading about MSUCOM which makes me think if the DO schools were ranked, MSU would easily be top two. I just got a great apartment where I hear most of the med students live, and its really close.
Do you have another school in mind? I probably didn't tell you much, but I have not ever heard one bad thing about the school and everyone I talked to that goes there thinks extremely highly of it.

Coooool! We'll be in the same class! That is the only school I have gotten accepted in so far. I am also an MSU undergrad, and am having a great time at msu. Where are those apts you mentioned about, in which most med students live?

Yeah, where is this great apartment, huh? lol. I am accepted in to MSUCOM as well. You all should make sure you check out our thread--our official MSUCOM Class of 2010 thread.

Has anyone received anything from MSUCOM lately?

Not every one accepted to MSU and Bradenton are choosing MSU. I am not, and neither are a few others on this forum. One school is never blatantly better than the other.

Yep, I turned down MSU for a different school.
