Anyone here been accepted to Nova SE? I had an interview about a month ago and they just told me my status was "pending".....not sure if thats a good sign or not

DPTbaseball .... I can't stand them anymore, I called them, emailed etc and all I get is your app is still under review or the decision did not come back to the admissions office and I had my interview in the beginning of December !! Honestly .. this is ridiculous

Hey DPTbaseball, did they say your stuff was on hold? I had an interview in October and I got sent a letter saying my admissions was on hold, pretty much meaning I'm wait listed.

no they didn't say anything about my application being on hold........they just said it was still pending. I asked if that meant the same thing as waitlisted and they said no, it means they haven't made any decision yet. Yeah I can't believe that its taking this long

I have a friend who is a 1st year DPT student at Nova's DPT program. This is not meant to deter you from applying to Nova but she hates the program. She claims it's not challenging enough and is unsure of whether it is preparing her to become a proficient PT.
.... Just my $.10

well i just heard from a friend who had an interview today that they have filled up all their seats, so I don't think going to NOVA SE is an option anymore to anyone unless you're already on the wait list. Anyone heard anything (good or bad) about their new hybrid program in Tampa?

I heard that the hybrid program is waiting for full accreditation, but their other DPT is accredited so I would assume it's just a formality. Most colleges won't pay to submit for approval until they've reviewed the curriculum against standards very thoroughly. I heard that the deadline is March 15 for May 2011 acceptance, and I think the GPA requirement is fairly low compared to other programs, like a 2.7 or something? I could be wrong.
If UCF won't have me I may try my luck with the hybrid program. I'd prefer UCF but at least with a hybrid I could work a bit and eat more than just ramen noodles and cereal for 3 years 🙂
