I know there has been a lot of threads about cooporate dentistry blah...

I am thinking about working for western dental just as an option, so I don't want to cause any big debate, I just want to hear whoever worked or is working for WD, How do you like it? what are the pros and cons, if you could
thanks in advance:laugh:

i recommend that everyone do a resedency after school, bc the xperience willbenefit you a great deal especially if you plan on going solo. many of my class, ates that have offices refer a lot of work that i wluld never consider referri only bc i gain experience doing them in a residency. as for corporate dentistry like western its not a bad place to start since you can make ore money there than working as an associate for someone else. they provide you with benefits and incentives small clinics can not offer. but keep odds are you will never become a millionaire worming for someone. bc you will get say 30 percent of what you prodice 60 percent goes to others. whe you see this you will see private practice maybe a better option in the long run.and this is where you wil be glad you did a residency.

so to sums things up i recommend a residency first, then working after a residency for a corporate dental place is nkt a bad idea just to get your feet wet, and finally go venture off o your own..... if you do go off on ypur pwn i recomend you look into a community college in yourmtown and take a book keeping class as a non degree seeking student. you will be amaze how much u learn i this one class. even if you plan on delegating to an acct its nice tomknow you and ur acct can communicate.
