I was just wondering if anyone on this message board plan on applying to the University of Illinois at Chicago COP. If you have in the past or are applying now please share your exp.

Hi Ron,

i applied to UIC last year and got in. i recall the application process being a little frustrating. they gave little feedback with regards to course equivalencies and receiving your transcirpts - so keep good track of that and don't expect much.

i'll say the interview was fair - though i had what felt like a really tough interviewer. the writing sample was cake - except the pens they provided kept running out of ink.

much luck to you.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with UIC as a school (pharmacy in particular), but they don't seem to be the friendliest with admissions, and when I called regarding admission last year they were completely uncooperative. If you like Chicago, and would like to go to a highly ranked program, I'd say check it out. I've been trying to get in touch with a friend who chose it over 9 other schools (yeah, she applied to 10), but I haven't had much luck (I'm in Arizona). If I can get any info, I'll post it. I don't think that we have any SDNers that go there on this forum currently.

Yeah, i am applying to UIC. But like everyone else said, they don't seem to be very helpful when it comes to answering questions. I called to speak to an admissions adviser because I was unsure about whether or not a class I took fulfilled the speech requirement, and they weren't very helpful. I am always getting transferred to voice mails and I never get my calls returned. I am also applying for Midwestern-DG and they are much more friendlier.

I want to say thanks to all who replied and shared info on this post. UIC is my #1 choice and hopefully I get in - lol. chitowngyrl
and NocSag56 I sent you a PM.

Thanks again all
