Anyone apply with minimum science pre?

yup, I did the basic prereqs since I'm a psychology major. It hurt me a little bit, because my science gpa was based only on those classes, with no "easy" bio classes to help, but whatever....I don't care anymore, and I'm going to med school in fall! gluck! :luck:

yes-I applied with the minimum pre-med science requirements and got into some schools. I was a math major and my school combined math and science classes when they calculate your "science" GPA, which sucks for most people b/c most poeple do badly in calc. But for me, i did really well in all of my math classes so it was great. Except AMCAS and AACOMAS don't include these math classes in your science GPA. At some of my intervioews I was asked extensively why I wasn't a bio or biochem major. all I hear was why? why? why? But nevertheless, I was still accepted to some of the schools.

My friend was a dance major and applied with the minimum plus cell biology. After she applied she did sign up for biochem for one semester. She was accepted to both DO and MD and is now at EVMS.

Hi, you mentioned you were a math major yet, your math grades were not figured into your GPA by amcas and aacomas. WOuld this be the same for all of my chemical engineering classes?? (Not chemistry, but engineering)

thanks.

Engineering courses won't count for science GPA, but count toward overall GPA.
