How come I don't see anyone talking about that they are applying or have applied to NYCPM. Just curious, I'm applying and it's probably my first choice.
Also to anyone who is a student there, do you like the school? I'm shadowing a podiatrist now who graduated from there less than 10 years ago and he said he really liked it, and you get a lot of experience.

I applied to all 8 schools, AZPOD and NYCPM haven't responded as of yet.

after doing externships it is hard to say if the school prepared me or I learned from the externships.

I think the externships that you pick in the 4th year will have alot to do with your education.

All the schools have problems and benefits. I never visited another school so I only know about NYCPM.

The biggest problem is that the administration expects the students to come up with ideas and implement them - almost running the school. They try to push more and more responsibility onto the student government that is really the admin's job.

It is true that you get lots of hands on experience, 10 years ago it was more but it is still alot.

we are also the only stand alone pod school left - I think it is time we merged.
