Hey,
I have finally decided to attend Tufts next Fall (class of 2009) over Nova. I was wondering if anyone has decided on Tufts for the fall and any insight into how I should go about finding roomates, an apartment etc.... all the good stuff- Yay Boston!!- danielle

you might get more responses to this if you post it in the pre-dental forum.

so what put Tufts over the top for you?

Tufts will send you info on which areas of boston are the best for students, as well as a roommate survey. Once you fill out and send in the survey, your name will be added to a roommate list, that list will be sent to you and you can call anyone on it who may be a good match for you as a roommate.

Well after interviewing at 3 other schools prior to Tufts(UF, Nova and BU), I was really amazed with how technologically advanced Tufts dental school is. I thought Tufts had the nicest SIM lab from all of the other schools and the best clinical program (even though I have been told by Nova students that Nova has the best clinical program). Also, I thought the staff and students were extremely friendly and the staff really made it out as though their goal is to help students as much as they can to be successful and they seemed extremely sincere. Also, I really liked how they said that if a student is ever doing poorly in a class, they automatically set him/her up with a tutor to ensure that the student passes the next exam. This caring and warm atmosphere really pushed me to choose Tufts over Nova or any other school really. Alot of schools seemed very unfriendly and so competitive. Of course Tufts is a very competitive school, but there is a HUGE difference between a class of friendly students willing to help one another with a staff who find it most important for everyone to pass vs. a class of students that are only out there to do better than the rest and completely unwilling to help others succeed and a staff that is really indifferent toward the students success....that is why I chose Tufts!
