Anyone bought the pathology anki deck from drwillbe for 10 dollars?

Haven't seen it yet, will look. What were his resources? Himself?

I mean I made a pretty complete anki deck for stuff from Firecracker, sometimes with better pictures. Pretty sure I'd get sued from some copyright stuff if I tried to sell my deck..

okay so here something everyone needs to know about anki before they start going at it.

1) anki works only if you revise the cards
2) anki does not facilitate understanding the material (it is designed to memorize languages and other prompt/response type material)
3) going through anki is SLOW. Its fast at first, but wait till two weeks in.

If you were to remember every card with 100% accuracy this is how your days with anki would go:

1) 100 new cards
2) 100 new cards + 100 review cards
3) 100 new cards + 100 review cards
4) 100 new cards + 100 review cards
5) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
6) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
7) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
8) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
9) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
10) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
11) 100 new cards + 200 review cards
12) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
13) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
14) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
15) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
16) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
17) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
18) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
19) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
20) 100 new cards + 300 review cards
21) 100 new cards + 300 review cards

this is all ASSUMING you are 100% accurate, if you get a card wrong it becomes new and it appears more frequently (and anki is designed for 90% retention). Not trying to discourage but you must be very careful about WHAT you make a card of and use it minimally. If you plan to do 6000 cards of willbe path AND fa you are setting yourself up for anki hell.

Lol thanks man. i did think it would be something like this, but never imagined it to the heights of what you described.

I was thinking ill delete half of the cards i go through, and also ill avoid patho from other cards except for this (if this one has good reviews)

Still havent started and still have doubts about how many hours ill have available daily to spend on this after Uworld;, but i thought id get some reviews abt this anki pile before i make any decision.

I used that deck--it's pretty solid, again taking in to considerations what was mentioned above with using Anki itself. As far as the deck is concerned, I think it's fine to use--some cards aren't that great, but then again, they are taken verbatim from the listed review materials, so you can't blame the person who created the deck.
