If anyone cancel UCLA interview, please let me know. I want an early interview as oppose to my current date. If it works out, I'm certainly willing to compensate you in some way.

I don't think that's how it works. They'll give the interview date to the next people on the list.

I remember having an interview date for a school set already. But since someone dropped out, they didn't go to the end of the list (where people haven't been offered an interview yet), but they called me and asked if I wanted to change to an earlier date.

Are you waiting to put a deposit to another sch?
That's one of the reasons why I would want an earlier date.
Do know this: If UCLA is your first choice and you are interviewing for the "real"(rather than alternate) position, I think you probably dont need to send in that deposit.
You have a high chance(not 100% though) to be accepted here.

How come you feel I have a high chance? Is it because UCLA only interviews the best? And also, if you have the energy to type and share; I love to hear anything about UCLA that can help me prepare for the interview even though I've already read the SDN threads on the topic.

Nah, I dont have energy to type.
Tough luck.
Seriously, next wk is midterm week.
Let me keep it brief and I will respond after next friday, if u have additional questions.

I wouldnt say they interview the best.
1. They prefer to say they only interview people they are highly interested.
2. They didnt give interview to a person without community service before. So stats aint everything.
3. They want honest people who are willing to work hard to get thru the tough 4 years.
4. This is a suggestion. Make sure you and whoever close to u are 100% committee to do some sacrifice at dental school. And make sure dentistry is what you want to do. I dont want to see anyone who left dental sch to go to another prof sch bcos they come here to "test out" to see if they like it. If you have this feeling, I m sure you will drop out very soon. The consequences is that you took away that one spot that could offer to people who are dying to study at a dental sch. (anyway, this is more info that you want)

For the interview, just stay calm. People are quite nice here(stressed people, but still nice) Dont ask me about how do I like our curriculum(esp not during midterm wk)

Dear ecdoesit:

Thanks for your post. I had an interview at UCLA and it worked out nicely.
