Hi there.

Has anyone done a post-bacc or SMP while working full-time?

I recently applied for a few SMP's. I'm also supposed to go back to work full-time very soon. I'm beginning to wonder, if I get into a program for the fall, if I'll be able to juggle the coursework with a full-time job. I know many people have done it. But because the courses will be upper level biomedical sciences (aka rigorous) and because I know I will have to do very well in them in order to have a chance at medical school, I'm trying to decide whether it's smart to work full-time as well.

What do you guys think? Thanks.

I think it depends on the program. I'm in a more rigorous SMP and they told us to not to take up a job, but some people took up small jobs like babysitting or tutoring

I knew a chef who was a post-bacc. He also was one of the high scorers of the class. I'm sure it must've been part-time though

I did it. It was very hard and I had zero spare time. All I did was work and study. But on the upside, I did very well in the program and ended up getting accepted to med school. If you are willing to sacrifice a lot and work very, very hard, it's worth it.
