I've been hearing of people doing worse on the real PAT on test day depending on the prep program used. The PAT has never really been a problem for me, though now I'm wondering if it was just a fluke. I took one practice test from Topscore last year before I retook the DAT and scored an 18. Being that this was better than the 15s I was getting in the sciences, I figured I was good to go. I ended up scoring a 20 on PAT on test day.

I am retaking the DAT next friday and have taken only one (so far) practice test on PAT. I got a 19. I feel pretty good about most of it, I was just wondering if this has been a problem. I suppose a little extra studying wouldn't hurt, I just feel this is an area in which I can really shine. I don't want to see an 18 come test day!

It's pretty fortunate to have point increase from Topscore's PAT. But many aren't that lucky, and instead have their scores gone down on the test day, probably because of tougher sets of PAT encountered. You should probably consider using DAT Achiever to help boost your real PAT and per chance of having your SNS enhanced as well.

I hate to say it was a fluke for me, but from everyone else it almost seems like it was 😕

Anyone else?

If I remember correctly, my topscore PAT scores were something like...
19,18,20...I got a 16 on the real thing, but like I mentioned recently in another post, I think this was due to the angle ranking. I ALWAYS got 100% on all of my practice tests, and I could have very well missed every angle on the real test. Also, I felt that the TFE was more difficult than topscore. I was pretty upset with my 16....👎

im a good example... top score pat scores were: 21,23,23
datachiever pat 17,18,18. and i got a 17 on the real thing. time management is very important as well as not losing focus. i didnt do both of that, and got what i got.

I'm really really happy with my PAT score (23) but on Topscore and Achiever I was scoring between 25 to 28. I'm not complaining...just adding to the list of lower real PAT scores.

if you want a good idea of what to expect on test day, take the ADA sample test online (the PAT section of it atleast) and then subtract a point or two from it. The angles are very close to what you'll see on test day, while some of the TFE are a bit easier than the real thing.

I also scored lower. I was getting 18s on topscore and 16s on Achiever, ended up with a 19/19/15! So far no interviews 🙁
