Anyone doing the military thing?

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone was planning on using the military to pay for med school. I may join the army or air force. I was told that I could go to any med school that I was accepted to and get everything paid for plus 1K per month of living expenses. In return, I have to do a military resedency and serve 4 yrs. Just wanted to hear some opinions about this option especially if you know someone who is already doing this. Thanks.
