Been studying for 4 weeks...I got burned out today so I decided to just take the off. Any idea of how to make sure that tomorrow I will be ready to study and have an eager attitude?
I just want to make sure it's not just me getting bored/burned out with it.

How much longer until your DAT?

I am in the same boat. I get burnt out on somedays. If you are going 7 days a week for 8+ hours take 1 day off a week and another day work for like 2 hours in the morning and then 2 hours at night. Sometimes you need a break.

Hah, I've been studying for nearly a month. It's rough, but if you can change your study location it keeps things fresh. Usually if I move to another quiet location that day is pretty productive.

well... if ur burned out tomorrow again, take it off as well. But you need to do something fun, or your just gonna feel the same burn-out come Sunday

I've been studying for about 7 weeks, sooo burnt out. Actually I only feel burnt out when I take a little practice test in the DAT Destroyer. I hope the real DAT isn't like that. I have all the concepts of cemistry down, but those damn Destroyer problems get me everytime. 😡

I got burned out today too, but it occurred during a practice exam in the middle of the PAT section. I started to feel it somewhat during the orgo section and then it hit me hard during Top-Front-End.

So then for the remainder of the exam, I started guessing randomly whenever I encountered a question that required more than the minimum amount of thinking. I just couldn't deal with it at that point. It got so bad that I winded skipping an entire RC passage.

What a waste of a precious practice exam 😡

I have not gotten to the point where I am ready for a full exam...Hopefully by the end of June I will be. I did not want to waste exams not having reviewed all the subjects first.

I know how you feel though. I have CDP that I do every few days, and I realized at night after studying all day that I get so tired and just start guessing on some.

My suggestion (if you do not already do this) is when you wake up give yourself like an hour before you get started, and first thing out of the gate is do a practice exam. I am going to try this because I feel like I will be more focused on it, if it is the first thing I do.

so-burnt-out.
everything just seems so damn boring now. ive been forcing myself to study for the past 2 days, really forcing. i desperatley need a break for a day i think.
its driving me nuts and my back hurts from sitting at my desk allll dayyyyyy
ughhhh i also forgot to eat ALL DAY bc i was orgo-ing. this is so sick

I am so tired -_- I think my brain is getting fried.

I took a full length achiever test today and when I got to gen chem.. for some reason it felt like i forgot how to do chemistry (even tho i've already gone thru destroyer twice). It was like my mind couldn't think straight.. which is not a good sign cuz the test is in 5 days for me ahhhhh :scared::scared:

Haha! My test is in 6 days and I feel exactly the same! Which achiever test did you take? I took #2 today and felt the same when I got to Gen Chem! I have been reading questions wrong all day today. I am watching Jim Gaffigan now with my wife to take a load off!

haha i took the 2nd one too... maybe gen chem was harder in the 2nd test compared to the 1st? haha i haven't had a chance to completely go over everything yet because I just finished taking it an hour and a half ago and I just had dinner. My scores were disappointing though so I'm getting worried... 🙁

Reading this is gettin me burnt out! haha jk. But I'm def feeling it too. Barely got 3 hours in yesterday before I realized I just needed a day to relax.

I think its pep talk time....

LETS GO GUYS! we can do this.

Studying for the DAT is most definitely taxing! Just keep pushing through it! If you have some time left before taking the test I would recommend giving yourself at least one day off a week. It helps a lot and gives your brain time to recover! For met that also seemed to make my studying after my day off more effective. If your days away from the test it's just mind over matter at this point. Just remember how much is riding on this test🙂

Hey everyone, I am the OP. I just took yesterday off completely...went out with a few friends to buffalo wild wings and had a couple beers. Just chilled. Today...my attitude was fantastic and eager about studying for the DAT. I think although having a "LET'S GO GUYS WE CAN DO THIS" attitude is great, but we have to remember that taking a break for 1 or 2 days can quickly rejuvenate your body and mind, and get you feeling good again about studying for the DAT. Don't be afraid to take a break...it's OKAY!
