heeeey, thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier post...

I have another question...didn't want to put it with the other but...

On NS, I do bio first, then skip ahead to O-chem because I need all the time I can get on g-chem with those calculations.

The way it breaks down, i spend about... oh 20 min for bio, no more than 30 for o-chem, and try to use the remaining time for g-chem. do any of you guys/girls have this problem of being really pressed for time or just fly by? i try to do these questions as quick as possible without making stupid mistakes (but not longer than absolutely necessary.... but it takes me at LEAST 40 min! doH!

i initially planned on doing that too, but when it comes to the real test, there weren't many calculations (at least on my version of the DAT, but be prepared though, i don't want to give any false sense of security here) and i ended having more than 15 mins left and were able to go back to the marked questions. i always used up the entire 90 mins on kaplan/topscore practice tests. also, i don't think you're able to jump questions unless you're done with that section but certainly you can mark them sequentially and move to the qs you want to answer first but that will take away your time.

i hate calculating those complex acid/base oxidation/red......takes too long for me to solve some of those problems, too many steps involved (like balancing the reaction, most of them are usually simple). i spend lots of time when it comes to complex calcuations..... i guess it just takes practice......
