Anyone else having trouble deciding?

So.. I have now been on 7 interviews and plan on going on 5 more before i call it quits and cancel the rest. I am having a really difficult time deciding between all the programs i have interviewed with. It is kinda like they all have a little bit of something i want. How are you all formulating your rank list? It is coming down to gut feeling for me... as i really liked all but maybe 2 of the places i have interviewed. I have not decided yet if i want to do a fellowship, and one interview would guarantee me that chance (pretty much).. while others there is not a snowballs chance in hell i would get a fellowship... Agh! I am going to be one of those people in Feb who keeps rearranging their list. Just wanted to see how everyone else was doing.

I am also really confused. I definitely have a good idea what programs I will rank upper middle and lower third but within those groups it's tough to decide.
I am mostly confused about my top three. I have no idea how to rank them. Just as I make up my mind something else comes up and I switch again. 😕

Go with your gut feeling. You will be with the other residents more than your family.

For the places that allow second looks, you should do that if they are one of your top three. I plan on going back to the ones that are economically feasible to go back too.

i totally feel your pain. i am in the exact same place. the programs that i like are all different but have aspects of what i want. i am not sure where i want to go with my career yet with regards to fellowship so i need to keep an open mind. if anyone has advice, please help!!! 😕

I am using Isersons getting into residency, great book in this dire time of need. It has a ranking list that you can modify to your own needs, takes about ten minutes but it gives you a fair assessment and then you can add your "Gut" points to help rank. Hope that helps, good Luck!!
