Anyone else miss interviews b/c of weather

that damn noreaster cost me 200 bucks and im having to reschedule an interview at BU b/c of it. i dont think it puts me at that big of a disadvantage to delay my interview to next january, possibly february. anyone else have a similar situation and slightly concerned. well, at least i got a free day off of work today and caught up on some sleep. im still a red sox fan even if they don't want me (stupid logan international, clear your runways)

i feel ya...i wasted 300 bucks flying out to DC for GW from SF, only to be turned back by a hurricane. that sucked big ass hairy donkey balls.

Yea, couldn't get to U of Pittsburgh from Boston. Delayed for 6 weeks now. Thank God they are non-rolling.
Well at least I got my tickets refunded...

I dont understand how the weather stopped your interview at BU today. They followed through with the scheduled interviews and about 20 people were there. I know Logan was closed on Sat, but it was open Sun, and everything was up and running today.

this hasnt happened to me, but im already worried about it. especially since my interview is early jan in boston. i wouldnt mind the snow since im life long floridian but i'd be missing a lot of school

yes BU followed through with the scheduled interviews, but logan was closed sunday (at least at 3pm they were) and my flight was cancelled. trust me, if i would have been able to make the interview and not lose 200 bucks i would have done so. the reason i lost 200 bucks is b/c they only allow you 48 hours after a weather cancellation to travel, and if i couldnt make it by monday morning, there was no sense in arriving monday afternoon and missing my interview.

Yeah GW cancelled on me too 'cause of the "hurricane"... Too bad it didn't even start raining until after the scheduled interview day would have been over. Luckily DC is home for me, so I got a couple more days of Dad's yummy cooking and a bonus day off work. 😎

Most airlines are forgiving with refunds when it comes to weather storms like that.

When Hurricane Isabel came by, my friend got all her money back from the airlines since it wouldn't have been worth it to travel home for 1 day.

Did you try calling the admissions office on Mon. to see if they would schedule you for Tues. or Wed. Maybe then you could have still flown in within the 48 hours. Either way, that sucks, sorry about the loss of money.
