Is anyone else not being fancy with some of the non-booklet secondary applications? For VCOM I just put a paperclip on it all and folded it over twice, nealty, and put it into a normal envelope.

I really don't care enough to be all fancy about it, and I doubt it will make a difference. I imagine VCOM won't really care anyways. 😀

I had considered buying a larger manilla-type envelope, but figured I would save those for booklet-type apps such as NSU.

When I first started this process, I thought I would type all my secondaries out, type out the envelopes, mail out certified, and that I would be fastidious about my essays.

At this point, I find myself printing the information out on the applications, paperclipping, handwriting the address on the envelopes, sending in regular mail... etc.

So... I guess you're not the only one!

Good I've been staring at these damn applications all day wondering how I'm going to get them all typed out all pretty like. I don't even know of anyone who has a typewriter. Maybe Kinko's???? I haven't seen or used one since my sophomore year in high school and that was 1995.

I started off with the schools that I was most interested in--and took the extra steps of typing and putting them in envelopes that I printed, etc. However, for the schools that I do not anticipate being my number one or two choice in the end of all this, I am just neatly writing them.

I typed every one of them, used good paper, and sent them all in large manila envelopes.

probably 3 bucks for at least 10 of those big manila envelopes... it cost me 50 cents to buy one from the post office.

I've been shipping stuff out, applications, thru priority mail so I can get the delivery confirmation cuz to me, 5.00 is worth my sanity. and I guess the thing is type out the addresses and tape them on with scotch tape to the envelope. haha.

wow...everyone is so fastidious about their apps. mine are just slapped together. i havent really used large-sized manilla envelopes...instead i have opted for either the priority mail envelopes or the half-size manilla envelopes....wow..cant believe im even typing this....

I remember this process. I needed a full time executive secretary to do all those applications. I used the typewriter I had from college...which is long gone, now.

I really don't know where you'd find a typewriter.

Just one more stupid hoop you have to jump through!

What I did for PCOM's secondary was scan it into my computer, so i could type right on it, then reprint it onto similar paper. With the UMDNJ secondary I just downloaded the app. in MS Word format, typed my answers in and printed it out.
