Are you home and procrastinating too? Tell us what you need to do this holiday break/ in the next few weeks, why you're procrastinating and if possible what has/would motivate you!

I'm mainly procrastinating on writing my PS 🙁 I know I need to start soon to have time to edit, revise etc but it's not happening!!!! If anyone who's applied/applying now has motivation tips, post here 🙂

I'm procrastinating packing up my things. I have to move back to the US in a month or so, so I need to put together boxes to send ahead of time. Except, you know, I'm not doing that.

I'll see about doing it tomorrow, since I should be able to get some boxes then. 😉

i procrastinated heavily during the semester and my grades suffered, however im now procrastinating applying to a 4 year school for transferring admission.ha

I've pulled up my one paragraph 'draft' ... it's crap and reading about how everyone else thinks their PS drafts are crap is helping to motivate me 👍

Janieve, at least you're thinking about packing before the boxes are even there! I love putting on music while cleaning/packing.. it makes it go by much quicker cuz I'm mostly just day dreaming and dancing around the room =]

Wow I guess there's different tiers of proscrastination, I must be in the hardcore tier. I began my PS around June of this year!!!

Right now, I have a school project I need to in about 3 wks and I'm still dragging my feet. i get motivated by due dates so I guess I need to make an arbitrary deadline to wrap this up ahead of time.

Bernoull, thank you for the good luck wish =] .. And you must be a helluva writer if you started in June and submitted for the 2009 cycle!!

I've found it easier to, instead of starting ahead, keeping up with the reading/reviewing of notes really early on in the semester. = wonders when you're studying for exam!

Yeah, I don't start school till Feb 1 or something crazy like that

I should be getting a head start on Calc II, starting on understanding a research paper and reviewing my Ecology notes from AP bio.

Though technically I have no assigned work to do so I could probably get away with doing absolutely nothing for the rest of my break...😀

Turn on a good song..ya know the ones that make you think hard...close everything you have going on at the moment...and focus on your work and think about all the hard work you have put behind it and the success you'll have after your done with it...or the fun you can have once ur done with it lol.

I should be reviewing my organic notes in preparation for next semester, finishing my Goldwater application, and figuring out which summer programs I'm applying to. But I've been saying that for a couple of weeks now... haha.
And I second going to the gym... the only time I am actually productive is after I exercise. Works wonders!
