Just curious if anyone knows any MD's or DO's and if they've heard that MD's make more money... not taking into consideration placement issues after graduating or residencies or anything else. Do hospitals/private contractors pay one more than the other?

They make the same amount of money as an M.D.

MDs and DOs are have the same number assigned to them on payrolls at hospitals. An MD and DO will be paid the same for the same specialty at the same location/hospital.

ahh, that's the answer I was looking for. The details are in the bills... thanks :luck:

DO's are witch doctors. Most prefer to be paid in food and rocks.

Working the position, they get paid the same. However, because of various reasons, DO's tend to find it harder to match into certain competitive, high paying specialties than MD's so, on average an MD may make more than a DO.
