hey all,

Received that email around Jan 15th saying that the committee hadn't yet made a decision on my file, and that the next committee review was the 28th. not sure if that means we'll be hearing today or soon..

anyone hear anything yet? i haven't...

from the previous posts, it seemed as if they left off from the november interviewees. i was in december. so, i'm not expecting any response soon.

how many applications can they review in a day?

If someone interviewed in January (mid) when should you expect to hear from Einstein?

Also, is there a difference between the favorable review email vs waitlist letter? I read about those from last year's application cycle.

i interviewed at the end of december, and didn't hear anything, so i'm assuming they didn't review my app on the 28th.

i didn't know about the two types of email sent out, but it looks like the email a lot of us received was just because they haven't gotten to our apps yet.

I interviewed at Einstein in mid-September, and even so I still got the "no decision yet" email....... 😡 ... i wonder what they have been doing with my application for the past 5 months?!?!

Do you think they are still giving out acceptances outright or just waitlist spots or 'favorable review' emails?

I am trying to prepare myself. I really like Einstein and compared to my previous top choice...they are neck and neck. I hope to at least have the choice and not July 31st either lol. I don't want to have ot give up hope simply because I need a little more time to plan a move.

Howdy, I have a friend who was just accepted at Einstein this past week. She interviewed there over christmas break sometime. I hope this helps and goodluck!!

athena- i would maybe give them a call;
einstein's general rule is that you should hear 2 months after your interview about their decision- you seem to be pretty early in there, which is somewhat weird.

i recently interviewed at einstein, and they told me they are gonna start picking up the pace now. they said that they were being very slow up til mid-jan, but now they are gonna be rolling out the letters faster... i think it had something to do with the January 15th date being the first date to send out acceptances.
they told me to wait about a month for my decision, hope that helps.

I am all confused lol. So Athena interviewed in September and she is still waiting. Sparty's friend interviewed over christmas break (i assume December) and just heard back this week past week (end of january)..so about 4-6 weeks most. But someguy interviewed at the end of december and he still hasn't heard anything. Medappgurl, just interviewed and they told her in about a month.

I interviewed mid january...should I be expecting a month, mid march, or summer (if i go by athena's experience) lol. This process can really drive a person nuts.

I'll add to this list: I interviewed mid-December (around the 15th or so, I think), and I am still waiting. My interviewer told me that my file wouldn't even come under review until sometime in late February/early March. So, although that one guy supposedly got into Einstein after interviewing in late Dec/early Jan, I'm pretty skeptical --- and if it's true, it's likely an exception to the rule.

quideam- i think you're right.

it looks like einstein reviews apps pretty much on a time-of-interview-basis.

i called einstein and asked when i should be waiting to hear (i interviewed end of dec) and was told 2 months after my interview, i.e. mid- end of feb.

let's hope that's the case atleast.

I know this has been asked about many schools...but is AECOM still interviewing for acceptances or for the waitlist? I hear they interview until June??

It's not like I haven't tried to stay in touch with them (I call the secretaries about once every 2 months)..... and the email I got from them on the 15th kinda proves I am still alive in their book. Well, still, I decided to call them today -- and, after being kept on hold for 10 mins or so (during which I got my hopes up that they are getting someone to tell me that I got accepted), I am informed that no decision has yet been made.......... yup, me and my jewish luck 🙂

Yeah this whole thing is very weird. I have no idea who to believe honestly. I will probably try my hand at calling as well just to see what they tell me. It seems odd that there are some people that interviewed WAAAY back in Sept that still have not heard anything...especially since there are people who I know that interviewed in that same week that got a decision Jan. 15th...

Despite the delay, I still loved the school...and would love to get an acceptance...

But you just confirmed my confusion on this whole process. When in December did you interview if you don't mind me asking?

It's about 2 months - interviewed the first week of December if I remember correctly.

I guess they happened to review my file on Jan 28th. 😀

So if you interviewed mid-Jan, expect to hear from them in mid-Mar.

I called Einstein today, and here is the scoop:

It should take 8-10 weeks to hear for those of us that have interviewed since the new year started. They will send out acceptances via email and snail mail. The rest is snail mail.
