CNS has an annual meeting, and the guy who I am doing research for says I can submit an abstract there and go to the conference.

It would be during a very busy school year though.

Is it worth it?

but seriously, have you ever been to a conference? if not, go for the experience. school can be made up if you tell your profs in advance/look at your syllabi early.

No I have never been to a conference.

It will be in New Orleans though, so I think I will try it out.
