Anyone for USC??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm all about USC but am still waiting to hear.

PBL seems like a great teaching method.

what have you heard

USC will send the second batch of acceptances early Feb. Got the news from Eva so cross your fingers!!!😉

Well, I thought USC seemed great...I thought the pbl system looked like a refreshing way of learning. I'd rather not be stuck in a lecture hall for 6 hours if you know what I mean. And, damn I love LA-it's home!!

Has anyone heard from usc recently? any news??

Did anyone recieve a financial aid application from USC via email? I

I also received the financial aid email from USC. They probably sent this to everyone who applied.

I just got accepted to usc a few days ago.

I still haven't heard jack squat from USC. they asked me to send in my updated transcripts a while ago, and nothing. Does anyone know just how long they interview? Oh well, who wants to be strait outta compton, anyhow>.....(me?)🙁

I received my acceptance letter on Monday Feb10 and sent them my deposit yesterday. Yay!

Do any of you know into what stratosphere the tuition bill will be for four years at Trojan Dental?
Thanks

Perc--

I think that during the financial aid talk, they said that after 4 years of loans + interest, you are looking at +$300K!!

Just got my acceptance today...GO TROJANS!!!:hardy:
Now I just gotta make a decision: Tufts, UPitt, USC??+pissed+

I would have been all about USC hadn't it been for the combination of the PBL program and the cost. I actually had a great time out there during my interview trip, but ultimately felt the PBL program wasn't for me. Personally, I'd rather be in a more traditional program; I don't mind lectures and medical school educations. The PBL program is innovative and it is definately a personal thing - whether or not it fits you and the way you want to be taught. I loved the LA area and the school itself. It took some time to convince my friend who graduated from USC's film school that USC wasn't where I really wanted to go. Having said all this, I think the cost really wasn't a factor in the long run, just the PBL program itself. Sorry, I love working in teams and being a part of the PBL system, but I would have felt better had the problem based learning be a component of the learning process; not the central focus.
