Anyone get accepted to MSU-CHM today?

So did people that got in actually hear the night before the decision date?

For the people that got in, did you get ur phone call on the tuesday (so the day before the find out day) or wednesday, or a mix of both? Good luck to everyone tomorrow and Wednesday!

tomorrow's technically the decision day, but last time they called people on Tuesday (the day before the decision day) night.
 
when did you interview? I was really hoping for the call tonight but i didnt get it either 🙁🙁🙁
 
is anyone else dying with anticipation? i really want to go to msu!! (does anyone think they'll let me in with a 30 on the mcat?) :scared:
 
I just interviewed here and i definately am intrigued and eager about attending medical school here. I love the location, growth and emphasis on primary care with a mission/community focus. I'm really hoping i get an acceptance phone call. 🙂 It would be a dream come true and i'd probably start jumping up and down (in a very "professional" manner, of course).

I interviewed on 10/11. I haven't heard anything one way other the other, but I also havent seen anyone with a later interview date accepted yet so my hopes are still high. MSU is my #1 choice so hopefully I hear some good news soon! These tuesday nights waiting for the phone to ring are killing me!

Does anyone know if MSU accepts letters of intent?

they do, as long as you've already interviewed there. and they prefer them to be sent via U.S Mail.

Its a new week with another decision coming up tomorrow night. Anyone getting nervous already? I sure am...😳

i am soooo hoping to hear from them tomorrow!!! (ok, i only want to hear from them if i get accepted, of course)
 
its killing me, i dont know if they are ever going to call! my friends have been prank calling me on every Tuesday, just to get me nervous:scared:. They even tried having business call me from Lansing just so i can get a 517 area code calling me.:hardy:. Heres to tomorrow for all of us
 
good luck!! my buddy just got accepted! I just went on a tour on friday and fell in love with the place!!!! I hope to go there one day!

wow, you've got some pretty great friends - i mean, it's kind of mean and everything (but also kinda funny), but the fact that they would go through all that trouble - 99% of my friends don't even know that i want to go to medical school.

Are you sure the adcom meets tonight? It seems they have been doing it every other week, but that is just my observation based on SDN.
 
Did any one hear anything tonight? If you did let us konw when you interviewed, so we all have an idea of the interview dates they are looking at.

another night of not hearing.... darn it. Well it looks like the next time they announce is the tuesday night after thanksgiving

hopefully no waitlist tomorrow!!
 
I got an email saying that I need to go back for a 3rd interview because there was some sort of a discrepancy between the two I had when I was there the first time. They said that the review committee noticed it while looking over my app before sending it to the admissions committee. Apparently it's not uncommon? Anyone else been in the same situation at MSU?

My first interview date was sometime early/mid Oct.

Don’t worry, It just means that your two interviewers disagreed about you. Take it as a compliment, one of them must have really liked you for them you call you back. I know a few classmates who interviewed 3 times.

Oct 16. One of my friends interviewed there on....I'm 90% sure it was Oct 2. Anyways, she heard back from them last week (she was accepted), so it does look like they're going in order of interview.
 
i interviewed on october 3rd or 4th and haven't heard anything yet.. i'm dying here.

do they put people on an alternate list like wayne state? is there ever movement off of it?

dude thats nothing compared to what they did to me this week. somehow they made an email stating they are from the college of human medicine and filled the entire email with filler information. then at the end of the email it went like this "More than 200 paid and 3200 volunteer faculty are committed to teaching core institutional values that mark CHM graduates as unique and exemplary: respect of and care for patients, commitment to community, and the incorporation of psychological, social, and spiritual elements into care delivery.
After revieing your application and interview, I would just like to say hey hey hey. lmfaaao. oh man i know ur gonna get me back but this was so worth it."

honestly it was uncool, but man he deserves some props. he told me he spent an hour on it. lol

If any one hears anything today, can you put the date you interviewed, so we know the general time frame?
 
no one??? 🙁 Im beginning to be worried... i interviewed very early Oct. and still nothing... has anyone heard of waitlists/rejections? or are they only contacting acceptances right now??? sigh.

You will get an email if either of those things happen. And yes, they reject/wait list/hold people every time they meet.

I got an email telling me that they were going to hold my application for further review on the Wednesday afternoon following a Tuesday meeting. So if you didn't get a call, either the committee didn't look at your application yet or you might get an email tomorrow. But who knows, maybe the assistant dean didn't have time to make any calls tonight. Good luck.
