Anyone get an interview offer from Michigan?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I applied last year and was offered an interview at UM before I had even started the secondary. I found out when I logged into the secondary homepage and it said "schedule now!" If it is just a random and shadey e-mail offer, maybe call the school to see what's up.

Well don't they use an automatic interview system for top applicants? With GPA above a certain number and MCAT above a certain number from certain schools? I know that I'm being vague but it was in a chat transcript with the Dean who said 15% of interviews are granted this way. Certainly seems possible!

Congrats!

I've heard it's automatic if your MCAT is 36+...

they did say UC Davis was on their list, didn't they? but they also said OOS applicants automatically get one at 3.8/38 or something like that.

BigRed, what's the primary cost for 51 schools?

About twice what I paid 😉

I must have clicked the wrong link somewhere, I saw someone's profile with 51 schools. 🙂

oh, it was ecking. nevermind.

Cornell with a 37/3.8 was probably an automatic interview invitation. congrats.
Yeah UCD might be on the list but I am not haha.

As for the cost of 51 primaries, a mere $1660 but a great deal of my sanity when more secondaries start rolling in.

It's really SDN's fault when you think about it. Sure y'all gave me (false?) hope as a 3.26/32R applicant but so too did you make me feel sad about my ECs. Woe am I.
