Anyone get into pharmacy school with C letter grades in both O.Chem lectures? We got a new professor at my school and we have been his guinea pigs so to speak. Worst professor and class I have ever had. A's in my labs but, obviously the grade and credit is separate from lecture. To take or not to take......

At my school, our o-chem series covered 3 lectures; I got a C in one, and B's in the other two. I got into more than 1 program.

As long as your other classes are ok, it won't kill your chances.

I got two C's in o chem lecture and all A's in ochem lab. I still got couple interviews and got accepted for this fall.

I have heard of many people getting into pharmacy school with C's in O-chem. Don't sweat it.

Don't apply to UA. They only take B and above. Otherwise, if your science GPA is decent and all other areas are ok, you probably get some interviews. Apply broadly. Always look up each individual school's requirements and go from there.

It isn't a complete deal breaker if your over all and pre-pharm GPA is high and you have good PCAT score. I don't think you're getting into a top 10 or anything.

I got in C in ochem and was accepted into a top ten school. A single grade won't make or break you.

I got a C in advanced Ochem and got in..regular ochem I got A's and B's

Thank you guys for the information. I was really excited actually to take Organic, sadly one poor professor kind of made it a class I won't ever forget, but for all the wrong reasons. 😳 Well, it is what it is. Thanks again! It is good to know it is still possible to get interviews and get accepted into a program. 🙂
