How to Succeed at Medical School: An essential guide to learning by Brown and Evans

Its about methods of learning and of course how they can help you in medical school. Although the authors are English I figure med school is med school and it should apply to US schools as well. I haven't read all of it, but it seems like a pretty good read and should be helpful later when I start school.

Interesting I didn't know that about the UK. I will take a look at the website. However, I still feel a lot of the information in the book is very relevant for any medical student.

Also do you know of any websites that have information (such as AMA, tried checking it and couldn't find it) or lists of skills/competencies required for licensed physicians?

I liked the article in the link you provided. However, I feel you are not right about the book. Much of what the article had to say was in the book, although the article was a good supplement to what the book had to say about active studying. The book also has many other important topics such as learning during clinical years, work-life balance, and keeping up to date as a physician. I don't know a lot about UK schools, but from what I hear they are reputable. I can't imagine the differences will make much of a difference in learning methods.
