DO bias? is it real or is it more nuanced?

aside from academic programs, does DO bias exist? or is it more so the ability to get LOR, rotations (and research)?

Like if an MD and a DO student wanna match to general surgery (not academic) and their application is pretty similar, will they get pretty similar results? Or will there be bias against the DO title
