For context, I graduated about 2-3 years ago and I was mostly working at a clinic full-time for a majority of those gap years while studying for the MCAT. I didn't do much research when I was in undergrad and that's one of my biggest faults. The only "research" I've done was a genomics lab class that I took back almost 6 years ago now, but I'm not really sure if I can include that as research in my apps (plus it's not like there were any published papers anyway).
I work part-time at my clinic now, so I'm trying to branch out and look for more opportunities. I plan on volunteering at my local MemorialCare soon too. So I figured I'd try to fill up the rest of my schedule by trying to find some part-time research. I'm just a little worried that I might not be able to find something since I'm not a recent grad anymore. Also a lot of the opportunities I'm finding online seem to be paid lab tech positions, and the hours they require look like they'd conflict with my clinical job and I'd really prefer not to quit that. Anyone got any advice?
