anyone hear anything for Univ. of Pitts??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Only thing I've heard, dated 7/13 (they are yet to cash my check as well):

Dear Applicant,

Your application has been downloaded into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine AADSAS
database, and will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee in the order in which they have been received.

IF you have already sent your application fee and photo, know that your application will be processed soon. IF you have not yet sent your application fee, you should be aware that your file will not be reviewed until the processing fee has arrived.

If you have sent your check to the 3501 Terrace Street address, it is most likely being processed. Please be patient, and restrain from phoning the admissions office at this time to c check on your “status”, or to see if your check has arrived. No status changes will be made until early September. Interviews are granted by invitation only. Invitations will be emailed beginning in September.

Thank you for your interest in the First Professional Program of the School of Dental Medicine. I
hope to be speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,
Rose Mangold
Assistant Director of Admissions

Gosh, at least they sent you something. They're playing deaf & mute to me. Thanks.

Good luck!

I called U of Pitt today and spoke with receptionist Rose regarding the status of my application. She just returned from vacation so she is catching up with the applications. Hope this helps.

Ya, you can't accuse them of being the greatest of communicators. I'm in the same boat. They notified me via email stating they received my app etc. Other than that, they kind of seem to be saying, "don't call us, we'll call you", kind of approach.

I just wish the schools would keep us all posted on the status section of AADSAS. I'm sure the schools could cut their annoying calls from applicants by just posting updates on AADSAS regularly. I praise OSU for being quick to post on AADSAS. my 2 cents.

i agree schools should post updates on aadsas. out of 31 schools applied i may have 5 that have stuff posted.

Yikes what do they mean by if you sent it to the terrace address that it is most likely being processed...is that not the right address? That's the one listed on the AADSAS page

No, that is the right address. I think they are saying if you sent it elsewhere it may take longer to be processed since it has to work its way through several different departments before it reaches its correct destination.

I have only received the same email posted above, and I go to Pitt 😱

So I think we're all fine.
