Anyone hear from LECOM-Bradenton over the phone?

Did anyone here call Bradenton asking for the status of their application, and was told whether they were accepted or rejected over the phone. I just called, and they told me that they dont discuss my status over the phone but my letter was sent in the mail and should arrive shortly. Is that basically a, "you were rejected." What do you guys think?

Not necessarily, I had to wait 8 week to get my letter from LECOM-Pa and when I called they told me the same “we cannot discuses your status over the phone” line. I still got in, so don’t take that line as a rejection.

Most of the schools will not tell you anything over the phone unless it is some special circumstance. I was called and accepted by LECOM-B one day after I interviewed, but in my case they only called me to tell me because they thought my mailing address was incorrect since something they had sent me bounced back. I called and asked LECOM-PA about my status and they told me that they wouldn't discuss it over the phone, but that my letter was in the mail and I was accepted. 🙂 Good Luck to you!

yeah, I got the same thing. The person typed me name in and gave me a sigh and said we cannot....etc....wait for the letter...I thought for sure that meant rejection and she didnt want to break it to me. But I received my letter a couple days later...alternate, but better than rejected. Just be patient and stay positive.

Just wait for the letter. It shouldn't take long. They can't say anything over the phone unless they initiated the phone call.

I'll echo my agreement on that. For the OP: the Feb 8th interviewees started getting responses today. That's pretty quick in my opinion. They'll either accept you, reject you, or put you on the alternate list within a couple of days. What more could you ask for?

When I called I spoke with Anabelle (secretary) and she had no problem telling me I was on a waitlist and they have sent me a letter which I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED. Then I went on to confirm they have my address and yes they will re-send it to me - but that has never happened! I t has been over 1.5 months now?
I am really confused ? What should I do next?

I'll echo my agreement on that. For the OP: the Feb 8th interviewees started getting responses today. That's pretty quick in my opinion. They'll either accept you, reject you, or put you on the alternate list within a couple of days. What more could you ask for?

I would definitely call them again and see what is up - it only took a few days, maybe a week, for me to get my letter from them once they told me they had sent it. I know that one of the guys I interviewed with down there said that it took two weeks to get things from Florida to Texas, so maybe it's just taking a little while, but I'd definitely make sure. Maybe they can certify it or something? Bosnia when did you interview?

Actually I did hear over the phone about my acceptance. I called to check if they had received my D.O. letter and the lady was nice enough to tell me that I had been accepted. This was around the holidays, so I guess she was on the "I'll have some days off" mood 😀 . I would not take the fact that they don't want to tell you over the phone as you are rejected or waitlisted, we are all going to be doctors one day.

I interviewed on 12/21/05 (long time ago), I have got several other schools, but I really like Bradenton b/c of my kids - I think they would have a blast there, with all the beaches, etc - as opposed to the middle of nowehere somewehere on the East Coast. I heard from someone today, they said they will "send me a correspondence and they are well aware of my desire to go to LECOM-Bradenton". I guess I just have to wait. On 3/706, I am off to TOURO Mare Island, CA for an interview. Anyone knows how fast do they give you an answer?
