i don't remember the specific turn around last year for my application, just that it was almost immediately following my rejections from MSUCHM and Wayne State. I have been told that the CHM and COM admissions committees do communicate with one another quite a bit, since they're across the street from one another you'd expect that. your gpa sounds great and your mcat is about what i recall they tend to average, perhaps a point below, check the post with 2005 application cycle statistics for the mcat information, it should let you know where you stand. if you're out-of-state, it will be an uphill battle regardless of your scores. if you're instate you'll be in the running, assuming your LORs and essay are solid. they do move very quickly, i was accepted about a week after my interview and they have the class pretty well fleshed out by the end of the year. best bet is to call. i wouldnt get concerned until november, but keep an ear open for news of interviews and acceptances. kathy schafer, the director of admissions is wonderful, don't be afraid of her.
all the best.
