That's so cool, I'm happy for you. Could you tell me when you applied and how they let you know you were invited?

i haven't heard from either school....i believe the only people accepted to UCLA and USC so far are the ones who have stellar stats. then again, i know people who have 23AA and 3.8 GPA and still haven't heard from either school yet.

I sent my application to AADSAS on September 9th it was sent out to schools on October 21st. Beacuse of AADSAS problems (w/ sending out letter of rec) the schools had my complete file in late November.

UCLA sent me an email right before going on the holiday break. i will not know if my interview date is confirmed until after january 2.

USC has an akward way of accepting their students. I did not have the best numbers in the world and got accepted, SC looks at the well-rounded individual more than just a geek who's not well at interacting with others

I think UCLA started their interviews kinda late, compared to other schools. I believe they started in November. I received my invitation in like mid-December. Just wait and check your e-mail cuz they send out e-mail invitations.

Is that the estimate for the next 4 years? Do you know their expected tuition for next year, I assume it's going up again?

If you don't include room and board, it's $259,000.

I was just notified today by phone from Noemi Benitez that I had been accepted to UCLA. I interviewed there on January 20. Hope that helps!

I interviewed at USC on Dec. 2nd and still have not heard back. However, I interviewed at UCLA on Jan 17th and was accepted a week later. I'm happy, but wondering why I have not heard from SC.

Thanks first of all for the kind words guys. To respond to DS it is' request, let me say that it was by far the EASIEST interview I've ever had (and I've had some easy ones in the past).

At least for me, my interviewer said that she, "just wanted to make sure I didn't have any psychopathic tendencies and that I could speak English well," because I had a strong academic record (and I'm NOT exaggerating here). I have the general impression that unless you really MEAN to screw up, there's pretty much no way you can't do well.

As for the second interview, it just consists of you walking around with a dental student and talking about various things (I didn't even know this was an interview as we started to talk about the Clippers and other random topics). The only annoying thing about the interview is that you spend the first 30 minutes writing an essay but, even then, I don't think that it's really a big deal (just another chance for them to make sure you're literate).

The whole process only lasts about 5 hours (mine went from 10 am to 3 pm) and is very relaxed (even disorganized by some measures). The only thing that pissed me off is that those cheapskates didn't offer us lunch (yes I know, pretty superficial but I was hoping for a free lunch), only giving us a bottle of water and Kudos granola bar.

So yeah, I hope this helps, and if you or anybody else has more specific questions, feel free to PM me. Good luck in your interviews, and, seriously, DON'T worry about it. I can pretty much guarantee that ANY of your other interviews will be harder.
