Has anyone here been rejected after an interview? I have an interview at temple next week and im trying to get a feel for how good of a shot i have getting in, provided i do well in the interview. Does anyone know approximately what percentage of students who get interviewed are offered admission to that respective program? Would it make sense to do well in the interview, but then get rejected or waitlisted?

I was rejected after an interview at Midwestern and waitlisted at Rosalind Franklin. It was very frustrating because I felt like I had achieved a lot just getting the interview. However, both of those schools have very high interview rates vs. acceptance rates. I can't speak for temple though i'm not sure how they work.

Hope you got in 🙂

At the end of the interview Dr. Carp explains all the numbers, etc. They interview about 120 people for about 50-60 spots. They do rolling admissions. Not everyone offered a spot in the program takes it. % varies I'm sure each year. He said last year the vast majority who interviewed ultimately were offered a spot in the program. So you have a good shot: you wouldn't be invited to interview if you weren't qualified. At the interview they want to get to know you, the person, not just the application.

Just relax, interact, ask questions, and you'll be fine. Worrying about it isn't going to help or change anything. I know I should speak: I don't relax and not worry at all... But it's good to aim for! 😉

You'll rock the interview! :luck:😀

I was rejected after interviewing at Samuel Merritt. Reading this post I understand the frustration of being rejected after getting an interview because I too felt it was such a great accomplishment just getting an interview. I've learned in this whole application process that an interview doesn't necessarily mean an acceptance. 🙁

Good luck to you with Temple!
