The pharmacist I work for also owns a gas station. He received word today from headquarters that gas is going up an extra $.35 cents tomorrow morning to $3.50/gallon... 😱 I commute 50 miles a day to school and back. Too bad I don't possess Lance Armstrong's ability or I'd be taking up cycling... 🙄

I only have to drive about 20 miles twice per week to school and that is bad enough. I cant imagine driving 50 miles per day. I hope your car has good gas mileage.

No but I commute to work. 25 miles each way. Usually 3x a week. Recently I've gotten stooged on hours, and while I've been trying desperately to make ends meet, I may have to quit and find something closer. It breaks my heart because I love the people I work with, and I've gotten very attached to many of our customers. My boss has been pussyfooting around with my CPhT raise, too. I'm so stressed and I don't know what I will do.

I also commute 50 miles each way. About 40 of that is highway miles. I own a Ford Focus and I normally get about 30mpg per tank. Lately, I've been getting only 27mpg because of running the A/C non-stop. It's extra hot this year.

I'd find a way to bike, except I don't have time. I already lose 3 hours a day with driving. Projects and assignments during the P3 year take up another 12 hours a day.

If my commute was 10 miles or so, I'd bike. I used to bike to work, to the post office, to the bank, when I lived in the city.

I commute only 7 miles to and from school and home. My work is conveniently next door to my school. This is a relief, since I generally only fill up my tank only once every two weeks or so.

When I was in FL, I was driving 30+ miles each way to school twice a week, and 46 miles roundtrip to work 4 times a week.

mushy commutes a cumulative 140 miles a day up in jersey! 😱

Are you too good to walk in the street?? :meanie:
someone might "accidently" come by and hit him if he did that...

And the #1 reason why gas prices can, do and will go up:
You're still willing to buy it at any price!

Thread over.

I ride metro to school every day. It takes around 50 min each way, but I spend that time to do reading assignments. With rising gas price...what a relief.

I used to commute--after transferring schools, thank God I live right off campus and run to school. But with gas prices the way they are going, means I'm not going home any time this semester to visit family---it's too damn expensive. 😡

Yes actually, my italian leather dress shoes wouldnt be able to handle it! j/k

Actually, there is somewhat of a blind curve from my complex to the school and there have been cars to go up and over the curb. Since I narrowly avoided this one time already at my school, I do not want to take my life into my hands again!

If you could get your hands on some of those preformance enhancing drugs you could gain Lance's Armstrong's ability right quick.

Take the bus. If I worked in the city like I used to, I'd never drive to work. Of course I never drove to work then either.
