Anyone here from SJSU?

Hello everyone!
Im in California, currently a De Anza student and I plan on transfering to San Jose State University to complete my BA in Psych - however the other day a program for the k-12 counseling certification and then an MA in counseling caught my attention. Just wondering if there was anyone on the site that is a current SJSU student or an Alum that could tell me ANYTHING about the school's Psych program(s) 😕!! THANKS !

Just wondering what the MA program was like if you know? I was hoping it led directly to a MFT certification. I want to work at a middle school as therapist/counselor so I am not sure if I need the MFT coupled with a Pupil Personal Services certification? Maybe I should just go directly into the MA for Education emphasis on counseling? If you know anything that would be great 🙂 Thanks!!😀

The EdCo program is not the one you want if you want an MFT. You want the MS in clinical psychology, in the psychology department. It's very rigorous, and I believe would prepare you well. There is also a master's in counseling at Santa Clara University that does prepare you for the MFT liscensure. They have an open house this Thursday, if you're interested to learn more. Good Luck!

Hey, I'm back! Found some reviews and it looks good! Now, my 2nd problem - i a looking for a hotel near the university to check out the area. I found some on http://scu.universityhotelnetwork.com/ and some other sites, but i was wondering if there is someone here who can give me a recommendation, someone who actually stayed in a nearby hotel, or a local. Thank you in advance!
