MCSE, CCNA, etc.

How hard would it be to study for and pass one of these exams to get certified, and which certifications are the most marketable? Back when I was hardcore into computing, I wanted one of these. Now it just might be for fun. Thanks.

I'm a MCP, Microsoft Certified Professional. Only needed to pass 1 test, I passed the NT server test a while back (before Windows 2K became the corporate mainstream).

But from what I remember, MCSE is pretty hard to get. You need to pass 5 different tests. CCNA, again from what I recall, is pretty easy to get. I think you only need to pass one test. Do research on the net to find out the exact number of tests for each (and which tests are acceptable).

Either way, I'm not sure if either of these certificates will make you marketable enough to get a good job because the IT job market is truly in the pits. Its really, really bad. There's a lot of people in the field with certifications and years of experience who can't find a job. Kind of sad actually.
