Isn't the FLL area rather humid. I visited there briefly to attend a wedding and boy you get that whiff of humidity as soon as get out of the airport. Though I guess you get used to it over time?
Yes, this area of Florida is very humid and it doesn't really let up in the summer. In fact, whenever I'm returning to Florida from a place like Chicago and I get off the plane, I feel about five pounds heavier.
The good news is (as awkward as it sounds) that the hurricanes help to ease that pain by bringing in a lot of wind and rain.
The other good news is, if you're coming here for medical school
1) You should be inside most of the time
and
2) If you're not inside there are plenty of pools and a beach if you're THAT hot
There's also a waterpark -- The Rapids -- in West Palm Beach, but that's a bit of a drive from Davie I suppose.
I haven't been there, but I've heard that Arizona, Nevada, and Texas get hot too.
