Hey bqj, I called Georgetown today about my status, and they told me that a decision has been mailed to me as of Monday. I interviewed on October 26, so I would advise you to call the admissions office and check. I cannot stop thinking about Georgetown right now, since tomorrow (hopefully) should be the day that this letter arrives to my home for my parents to open! Ack this waiting blows, but gives me a new appreciation for those who had to do this before us.

Hey bqj, I called Georgetown today about my status, and they told me that a decision has been mailed to me as of Monday. I interviewed on October 26, so I would advise you to call the admissions office and check. called georgetown today and they said that my file is still under review and that they most likely will not come to a decision until after the holidays. grrr... oh yeah, i interviewed 10/28

I called Georgetown today and they said the final decision has been mailed "earlier this week". Hopefully I'll get it Friday or Sat (living out west=longer wait for mail). I interviewed Oct. 20

LOL I totally hear that!!! But don't be disheartened if it is a regular sized one, that is what other people got their acceptances in!! Sometimes people on SDN totally frickin rock, and BubbleWand1, I am talking about you.

I feel your pain. I thought mail only took 5 days to travel coast to coast--do you think it was lost? Maybe they only paid 10 cents to mail it 😡 good luck.

I called GW today and they said a decision was mailed or would be mailed shortly and that I should hear back at least by next Tues or Wed. I interviewed there Oct. 21.

AHRG!!! Waitlisted! I received a letter today from Gtown saying I've been placed in the "competitive applicant pool" and I'll have to wait until they finish interviewing. Oh well. I guess I'll be writing that intense letter of intent that they talked about in the interview.

Oh dude, totally sorry about that. Are you gonna write the letter of intent or one of interest? I dont know if either are binding, but I do remember them saying that about 50-75% of applicants that show interest (write the letter) ultimately get in so don't lose hope!

"We are pleased to announce you have been placed on the alternate list"

It's like a waitlist and ranked. Write a good letter of interest and Georgina said theres a good chance that you will get off that list. If you don't mind me asking, when did u interview? I'm waiting for them to get back to me too.

I interviewed Oct 21st and got the acceptance letter on Saturday. Give them a call. On their telephone menu, they have an option just to check your admissions status.

I broke down and called them today. They said my file hasn't been reviewed yet?! But that could just be mine.

I interviewed for GW the same day 10/29 and at Gtown on 10/28. I called both of this week and neither of my files have been reviewed. GW's adcomm met for the last time this week, so if your file has not been reviewed, you won't hear back until early to mid january. Georgetown told me the same thing. So my guess is, if you interviewed late october, you won't hear anything until the first or second week of january. Hope this helps.

I interviewed on 11/17, so guess I won't hear back till late January. I was told that Georgetown has one of the fastest turnarounds, but guess interviewing right before the holiday season slows it down a lot. Oh well, back to waiting.
