Anyone interview at George Washington and/or Georgetown in October and heard back?

Just curious, those who were waitlisted or accepted to GW...what are your stats?

They said on my interview day at GW that it would be around 8 weeks from the time you interview to the time you hear, which would be tomorrow for me...does anyone know if admissions committees get Christmas break too? 😉 I probably won't hear until after the new year, along with the person who interviewed early november.

I interviewed on 11/17, so guess I won't hear back till late January. I was told that Georgetown has one of the fastest turnarounds, but guess interviewing right before the holiday season slows it down a lot. Oh well, back to waiting.

I interviewed the week before you and apparently got my acceptance on Christmas Eve. I left for home the day before and havent been back to check the mail, but I got a phone call last night asking me if I had received my acceptance and if I planned on going.... so if you interviewed on the 17th you can probably expect in about another week or so. I interviewed on the 18th and I thought they said we'd probably hear back in January. Waiting is such a pain 😡

When did you guys turn in your applications to GW? I received a confirmation letter about the end of October saying that my file was complete, and I haven't heard anything from them since. I called the school, and the guy told me that my application is still being reviewed. When he said it, he said, "actually, you're application is still under review" I'm so scared. It seems like a bunch of people have been interviewed already and accepted. I guess it's good that I haven't been rejected yet, right?

I interviewed for GW on 10/29 and received the acceptance on 12/31 (it was dated 12/20). Good luck with all of you who are still waiting!

I interviewed on 10/25 and got a notice ~ Dec. 1oth. Stupid s#&@*s wrote the letter to waitlist me dated on my birthday. Oh well, as it turns out, I wasn't impressed with what I saw. Going to withdraw.

Hi, for those of you who interviewed for Georgetown in late october/early nov, I just called the office of admissions and they said that they mailed out some decisions yesterday so hopefully some of us will get something in the mail later in the week. good luck guys!

I think so. When I called before the holidays, they said that my file had not gone through the committee yet. However, when I called today, a decision for my file had been sent out yesterday. So either the committee met monday or tuesday, or perhaps I've just been waitlisted. You're a fellow hopkins grad right? good job on all the acceptances and good luck with georgetown.
