Anyone Interview At NYU?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
yea same here ... i applied to 20+ schools and NYU just sent me my first interview so im pretty curious.

Is NYU considered one of the harder schools to get into?

Kilerfornia: You have asked the same question in at least 3 other posts "is NYU a harder school to get into" and someone has told you already that no its actually one of the easier schools to get into. Their stats" DAT and GPA are average for acceptance. As per your question about interviews...NYU is pretty relaxed and the interview is one on one (mine was) they have your file in front of them and a small questionnaire. My interviewer was Dr. Mejia and I had fun during mine. A little bit of joking around, some serious conversation and finally its all about how well you can answer their questions about who you are...your strengths and your weaknesses...and how you fit into NYU...be yourself, be confident and relax..!!

thanks for the info dentalpath

and i agree the repetition of questions on here is getting quite much😀

i wouldn't necessarily say it's an "easier" school to get into. my D1 class has stats way above average. i heard there were over 5000 applicants last year and they interviewed 600 and accepted maybe 2/3 of that.

NYU and BU are very selective nowadays in picking interviewees, if you look at ADEA guide, you'll notice that they have very high acceptance rate for people who interviewed.
