Anyone know about USC's reception?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi Fellow Trojan,

The April reception was pretty neat, they had a financial aid seminar (basically Q and A for us students/parents), a list of faculty and student leaders who spoke to us about cirriculum/organizations, and afterwards we broke up into little discussion groups (2-3 current students to about 10-12 of us entering students) to talk about externships/dual degrees/etc. THEY EVEN gave out free t-shirts to some of us lucky ones who remembered certain facts during the financial aid/organizations/cirriculum portion of the program. Afterwards, there was a reception with food, mighty good by the way, and we got to chat with some of the current students. My friends and I were one of the last ones to leave because I was on the verge of going to SF, but after a few days of deliberation, decided that SC was where I wanted to be.

Oh yeah, I remember them saying that they were going to have the same reception thing, but in June, so I'm not suprised that I didn't receive an invite to this upcoming one. Has anyone that went to the April reception received an invitation to the June one as well? I would love to go again and meet my fellow classmates before August.

This is the email current USC students received about the reception:

Hello everyone!

Hope your summer has gotten off to a good start. Our new student reception
will be on Wednesday June 30th from 5-8:30pm and we need volunteers for the
night to help with tours and student break out sessions. New students have
the option of arriving at 5pm if they would like to tour the campus or get
financial aid information. The program officially begins at 6pm, with break
out groups beginning around 6:50pm. After the break out sessions there will
be a reception at the faculty center. This is always a fun event and a
great way to meet your future classmates. If you are interested in
volunteering please email me with your name and year, and if you will be
available for some or all of the event.

Also, can the ASSP and level presidents for next year please email me? We
usually have you speak at the event, so I hope you can all make it. If not
please try to find someone to take your place.

Thanks in advance!
P.S. I've attached a copy of April's agenda for your reference.

(I think if you want to go, it should not be a problem. Just show up and meet new people or come for the food!!)
