Hey...I have to retake wrebs and won't be able to get into an exam until next year. I see that CRDTS has a test still available for this year. I have never even heard of it and don't know anyone that has taken it. Does anyone have any experience with this test. If so...please post or PM me. Thanks!

I am working on a CRDTS Traditional FAQ and I will post it in the next 48 hrs.
For now just check out the manual on crdts.org

It is almost like a soap opera scene at the wreb exam. I sincerely understand why so many people hate it. I have never seen so many grown professionals walk out of the exam and cry like what I witnessed in san antonio. Examiners were handing pink slip out like candy.....I have assisted the boards, etc...but with my own wreb experience as a candidate I think if you can avoid it, it is better for your health.

However, on the upside, if you can take it. It is very worthwhile. You can work in so many states. It opens up so many options. If you take the nerb & wreb together, you can apply for license in 47 states (I believe). And that is very, very convenient to say the least. Feel free like a bird, going anywhere (almost) that you want to go, and always have your options open.

You know, it is funny. People always say how much easier the WREB exam is, however, if I were recommending an exam to someone, it would be the NERB. I failed WREB, took NERB in August, and passed perio 93, restorative 94, endo 95, and prostho 96. I passed the written with an 83. Do not get me wrong, it is not easy, and you must be prepared, however, I think that it is far more fair than the WREB examination is, at least these days.
You can prepare for the typodont portion of the NERB; after all, it will not change on exam day. You can take an extremely small pair of lesions into the restorative portion of the exam. I can tell you they rarely, if ever, reject patients. The perio is also very doable. Do not get me wrong, each of these exams have their own challenges, however, after taking the WREB exam once, I vowed I would never do so again. Take the NERB, folks. Forty one states is enough. More states are NERB/CRDTS states than are WREB states. If you fail a portion of the exam, you may retake that portion. The WREB hype is a bunch of garbage. Take the NERB. Prepare well, and you should be all right. Good luck, and let me know if I can help anyone on this forum. I remember how awful the feeling of being in limbo can really be.

You must know the proper measurement of all your preps. I assisted a gut and the examiners told him his prep was not deep enough and had us place a temporary and were not able to complete the exam.

I know many people who have had suc in passing the WREB in Denver. Examiners really work with you. It's almost like they want you to pass!🙂

The problem is, you don't know which group of examiners you are gonna get. It's not gonna be the same group every time. I have to say that the group in San Antonio wasn't anything like the group in Denver if that's how you described them.
I almost fainted when I saw my score. I got >90 and I am still thinking about it. I was freaking scared the whole time. I got scared seeing how so many other people failed, how most of my neighbors got their endo rejected, etc.... I came home pretty exhausted and felt like 10 yrs older or something.
