I graduated with a B.S. in Health Sciences from Purdue last May, and am now in graduate school (Biology) in Chicago. I've interviewed at one dental school pre-Dec 1st, and will be interviewing at another early in January.
I have been doing well in graduate school thus far, but like anyone else, am worried that finals will either make or break me. My question is would my dental schools look down at me if I were to get a 3.0? I'm hoping to get anywhere from at least a 3.3 to a 4.0 this semester. I would think my grades can only help me at this point (unless I were to really slack off). My question is, would dental schools admire my effort for attending grad school in order to one day be admitted to dental school, or at this point will they be counting on me to get higher grades? Any input would be appreciated. Keep in mind I am not really a standout applicant (3.22/3.15, 19/20/22). It was recommended that I attend grad school to maintain a full course load as well as experience classes at the graduate level.
